Study characteristics
The Educational Sciences for Teachers training program is intended for secondary school graduates who want to obtain a qualification to pursue the profession of secondary school teacher, secondary school practical teacher and secondary school vocational training teacher. Graduates of the educational program can teach at a secondary school, a secondary vocational school, a vocational school or a practical training center. The study is intended for people who already work in schools or are interested in this opportunity in the future. The course is designed according to § 22, paragraph 1, letter a) of Act No. 563/2004 Coll. and § 3 of Decree No. 317/2005 Coll. and in accordance with § 60 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Other Acts (Higher Education Act). The course is accredited under No. MSMT-26097 / 2019-2-934
Study organization
The study is realized by a combination of full-time and distance form of study. Full-time teaching takes place in the form of lectures and exercises. Classes are held on Saturday (usually twice a month) on the premises of the Technical University in Liberec. Teaching lasts for two semesters (1 year). Study materials are available for the core subjects, which are available to students in the LMS Moodle. With regard to the form of study, emphasis is placed on self-study. The study is completed by a commission final exam, which has two parts: Final thesis defense. Oral final exam from both prescribed modules.
Admission to study
There is no entrance exam. The condition for admission to study is at least a complete secondary vocational education. Practice in the field is welcome. The Rector of the Technical University in Liberec decides on admission on the basis of the recommendation of the professional guarantor of the study.
Study price: The admission fee is CZK 500. The price of the study is CZK 5,250 per semester
